Now that we’ve rested, got rid of whatever is holding us back, and began to see the flowers blooming, it’s time to put that first foot forward. I recently wrote about the power of your thoughts and creating “happiness,” but now let’s get into actually creating what you want the most, outside of your mind. This is not to say that your mindset isn’t absolutely crucial, but to put it bluntly; you gotta do the work.
No dream or goal was ever accomplished without action. The thing about creating our dream lives, projects, careers, homes, families, etc., is that they’re called “dreams,” for a reason; they seem impossible to create. The truth is most of us fail in trying to break down that big picture/dream into smaller steps/goals. But what we don’t recognize is that tiny, seemingly insignificant steps count as action. And as long as you’re always living in action, or “doing the work,” you’ll see that everything you want to create is very much attainable.
For example, let’s say I have the desire to create a life for myself that is “healthy,” which includes losing 5lbs, eating nutritiously, and making time for exercise. And let’s say I speak this into my life every day, and I am absolutely ready to begin, BUT I continue to sit on the couch every day while eating chips. In this case, my actions are not actions of the life I want to create. On the other hand, let’s say I want to create a life in which I drive a new car. I look at my expenses and account balances, I go test drive the car I want, I make adjustments to save or acquire what would be necessary. In this case, every step I take opens a new door, bringing what I want that much closer to me.
In either case, you may need help along the way – and it’s okay to ask for guidance, because that too is an action. Wherever you find yourself, take that tiny step. You’ll be surprised to see what the universe has in store for you once you start acting on your creation.
