When I think of the month of April, I think of sparkling, dewy drops of rain on a flower petal. I think of the old quote, “April showers bring May flowers.” There’s something beautiful and refreshing in the air – something that makes going through a storm worth it, because the flowers after the rain are shinier, moister, and new with life.
As with the random days of rain we get this month, sometimes your life is hit with a cloud, some drops, or a complete storm. And just like the roses, grass, and trees in nature, when you come out of it, you too can be even more beautiful. Similarly, the rain may be heavy – it may hurt and tear you down a bit, but is absolutely necessary. What I mean is that those moments of rain in your life take you from one level to the next. A flower receives rain and uses that to grow, and no matter how hard it rains, it will continue to bloom. We too should receive the “rain,” with gratitude, and use it as fuel to help us grow – because no matter what, we will continue to bloom.
I welcome a shimmering drizzle with grace – for I am grateful of all that it will bring me.
