Let’s get into Mondays. Even as children, we’re told that Mondays are the worst; you hear your parents dreading Mondays, see it all over TV & movies, and now on memes in social media. So you go into adulthood thinking you should just skip through the day all together, and don’t put the work in until the next day. Here’s a groundbreaking thought; change your mindset.
Instead of wasting your energy on hating Mondays, put that energy towards what a blessing Mondays actually are. Mondays are my favorite day of the week. For one, I get to live another week, but secondly, I have the pleasure of setting up new goals for the week. We often get so caught in the tasks, that we forget why we’re doing something in the first place, or what vision we’re even heading to. Mondays are great for this, because surely you are not doing so on Fridays (am I right?)
Remember I said to start from a place of full energy, not depletion? Well this is what Mondays are for. Don’t be down that the weekend is over, use all that positive weekend energy to fuel your Mondays. Realign your intentions for the week according to your overall vision. Your behavior on Mondays will really set the flow for the rest of your days. So, start your big projects, stick to your diets, plan your meetings, get some self-care, etc., because after Monday, you can do it all.
